Glossary of Learning Terms > L > Learning Style
The preferred approach(es) that a learner uses to engage with learning material based on strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. Four widely-accepted learning styles are: visual (learn through seeing), auditory (learn through listening), verbal (learning through speech, writing and reading) and tactile/kinesthetic (learn through moving, doing and touching). An effective learning program should consider as many of learning styles as possible.
